2-day Pre-Season Late-Summer Goalkeeper Training. When? Friday, August 22, 2025. 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm Saturday, August 23, 2025. 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Where? Friday: Hains Point Field. 1100 Ohio Drive SW Washington DC 20242 Saturday: King Farm Park. 401 Watkins Pond Blvd, Rockville, MD 20850 Join us for an intensive 2-day goalkeeper clinic, where we further develop the level of performance for already advanced goalkeepers. We will be focusing on every aspect of the position. Each segment of our sessions will be broken down into specific unites that serve to challenge the ability of each participating goalkeeper. This course is for youth that are serious about their development as a goalkeeper, including players preparing for college and other leagues or upcoming tryouts. We'll be focused on the following: - Communication. - Positional Awareness. - Verbal Commands. - Posture. - Foot Placement & Controlled Movement. - Timing and Threat Assessment. - Collapse Dives. - Extension Dives. - Grips: W-Grip, Baskets, Scooping, Front-Smother, and Danish Saves. - Reflexes and Hand-Eye Coordination. - Launching and Air Durability. - Ball Distribution. - Terminology (Understanding Soccer Terms in Different Languages.) - New/Recently Updated Rules on The Game, and How it Affects Goalkeepers. - Finger and Wrist Taping. - Glove Care - Additional Questions and Topics may also be Covered.
